Reporting & Tracking Issues
When something isn’t working, or you have an idea that would make Sideboard better, you can report it without leaving the app — and then follow it the whole way through, from the moment you submit to the moment it’s resolved. No email threads to dig through, no wondering whether anyone saw it.
Reporting something
There are two ways to send us a bug report, feature request, or general feedback:
- The account menu (your avatar, bottom-left) → Send feedback.
- The Support page → Send feedback button (top right).
Either one opens a short form:
- Type — Bug, Feature request, Integration request, or general Feedback.
- Title — a one-line summary.
- Description — what happened, what you expected, anything that helps us reproduce it.
- Screenshots (optional) — drag and drop, or paste from your clipboard.
Hit Send feedback and it’s on its way to our team. It immediately shows up in your Support area so you can track it.
Tracking your issues
Open Support in the left sidebar to see My Issues — every issue your store has submitted, newest activity first. Each one shows a status and how recently there was any activity.
Everyone on your team sees the same list, so you won’t double-report something a coworker already sent, and an owner can see what staff have flagged.
What the statuses mean
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Submitted | We’ve received it and it’s waiting to be looked at. |
| Under review | We’re evaluating it. |
| Needs your reply | We’ve asked you a question — open the issue and reply so we can keep going. |
| Planned | It’s accepted and queued up to be worked on. |
| In progress | We’re actively working on it. |
| Resolved | It’s done. |
| Closed | We won’t be actioning it (for example, a duplicate) — with a short reason. |
Talking with our team
Open any issue to see the full conversation. When someone on our team replies, it appears right in the thread, and you can reply back — just type in the box at the bottom and send (or press ⌘/Ctrl + Enter). Your reply goes straight to the team handling your issue.
If we mark an issue Needs your reply, that’s your cue to open it and answer — we’re blocked waiting on you.
Once an issue is Resolved or Closed, the reply box is replaced with a Send feedback button — closed issues don’t reopen, so if something related comes up, send it as new feedback and we’ll pick it up fresh.
Notifications
You don’t have to keep checking back. The bell in the top bar (or in the sidebar on desktop) lights up with a count whenever there’s something new for you:
- a reply from our team,
- a request for more info (the “Needs your reply” nudge),
- or your issue being resolved or closed.
Click a notification to jump straight to the issue. You’ll also get an email for these updates, so nothing slips by — even when you’re not in the app. (You’re only notified about issues you submitted, and only about real updates — never a flood.)
