Cart recommendations
A short “you might also like” list inside the cart drawer.
What it’s for. Cross-selling while someone is already buying. When a singles order is sitting in the cart, this nudges sleeves, deck boxes, or top-loaders before they check out. Each suggestion shows a thumbnail, title, price, and an Add button that drops it straight into the cart.
When to use it. It only appears in the cart drawer, under the items. Shopify picks the products automatically based on the first item in the cart (its product recommendations), so you don’t choose them by hand.
Ways to use it
- Push protection — let Shopify surface related accessories so a chase card never ships unsleeved.
- Bump small-ticket add-ons — counters, dice, or playmats that are easy yes-or-no buys at checkout.
Tips
- Recommendations come from Shopify, not a collection you pick. Quality improves as your store builds order history; new products may show nothing.
- It shows up to 4 products by default (set “Maximum products,” 2-10).
- If Shopify returns no recommendations, the whole block hides.
- Out-of-stock variants priced at $0 are skipped, so the price shown is the cheapest in-stock variant.
