Advanced Search

The advanced search form: a shopper ticks their games, fills in each game’s own fields, and lands on your search page with the matches and a filter sidebar to refine them.

What it’s for. The searches a filter sidebar can’t carry: rules text, artist, collector number, mana cost, type line, format legality, alongside the usual game facets and listing fields (name, condition, finish, language, price, in stock). The form is built live from your Sideboard catalog, so the games and fields on it are whatever you actually sell.

When to use it. Once, on a dedicated page built from the advanced-search template. It needs your store connected to the Sideboard app, and your search page’s Search results come from setting switched to Sideboard search so the hand-off lands on an engine that understands it. Tips

• The section itself has almost nothing to configure; the heading and spacing below are the whole list. The fields on the form are managed per facet in Apps → Sideboard → Filters (the Advanced search toggle).
• A search doesn’t need a name. “Red mythics under $5” with the name box empty is a valid query.
• If the form shows an error instead of loading, the page couldn’t reach the Sideboard app; check the connection.
